Jor-Mac is a sheet metal fabricator built around complex, highly engineered assemblies. We’ve made significant investments in equipment, engineering, and finishing so customers can move from raw material to a complete, painted, ready-to-populate product without managing a chain of separate suppliers. Cutting, forming, welding, machining, hardware insertion, assembly, and powder coat finishing all happen in-house.


Everything Under One Roof

Our fabrication is genuinely end-to-end:

  • Laser cutting and CNC turret punching
  • CNC forming on press brakes
  • Welding — MIG, TIG, spot, and projection, with robotic and cobot welding
  • Hardware insertion (PEM)
  • CNC machining
  • Sub-assembly and complete assembly
  • In-house powder coat finishing

The only work we send out is the handful of chemical processes we don’t run in-house — such as passivation and e-coat — plus cut-to-length stock. Everything else stays here, where we control the schedule and the quality.

The majority of what we fabricate is steel — both hot-rolled and cold-rolled — with a growing volume of aluminum and stainless. We also work extensively in galvanized and galvannealed, which has expanded significantly as we take on more outdoor-rated product.

Six fiber lasers — two 12kW and four 4kW — plus combination laser/turret machines and a fleet of CNC turret punch presses. CNC press brakes range from 40 to 240 tons, covering a wide span of part sizes and bend complexity. Supporting equipment includes PEM insertion presses, CNC machining centers, bandsaw, rolls, and metal finishing.

We run a full range of welding processes — MIG, TIG, spot, and projection — with robotic and cobot welding for consistency and throughput. Projection welding is especially well-suited to attaching hardware such as nuts directly to sheet metal. A Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) on staff tests our own operators to a common standard, so weld penetration and quality stay consistent across every operator and every shift.

Fabricated parts hold to standard fabrication tolerances — typically in the range of 0.020″ to 0.030″ — which is the right, most cost-effective target for the vast majority of enclosure and sheet metal work. Where tighter tolerances are genuinely required, we’ll tell you what it takes to achieve them. Our engineering team can also help you avoid paying for machined-level tolerances on features that don’t need them (see Design for Manufacturability).

We’re built for a blend of work: low-volume large enclosures — down to single-digit quantities — alongside higher-volume small parts running into the thousands.
