SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Under the direction of the VP of HR, this position focuses on recruiting hourly, salaried nonexempt, or non-management exempt roles. Works with the management team to proactively identify hiring needs. Responsible for attracting candidates using various sources. Ensure our company attracts and hires the best employees, growing a strong talent pipeline.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Source and recruit candidates by using social media, databases, etc.
- Ensures positions are posted according to procedure.
- Screen candidates resume and applications, review for qualifications.
- Conducts phone or in-person interviews using various recruiting tools/methods to filter candidates.
- Assess applicants’ knowledge, skills, experience, and aptitudes
- Acts a s a point of contact and builds candidates relationships during the selection process.
- Promote company’s reputation as a “Designation Employer”
- Develop relationships with area staffing agencies.
- Initiate background and drug screens for direct hires.
- Utilize applicant tracking tools
- Works with HR to initiate and complete onboarding.
- Vet candidates to ensure alignment with company culture
- Networks within the community and may participate in job fairs.
- Makes employment offers based on pre-determined standards.
- Address employee relations issues such as harassment allegations, work complaints, performance management and/or improvements plans and other concerns with utmost confidentiality.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Adhere to all Jor-Mac and OSHA safety related work rules and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned or required.
QUALIFICATIONS:

- Associate degree required; with a minimum of two (2) years of recruiting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Effectively present information and respond to all questions.
- Strong decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of HR laws and policies; applicable to recruitment and selection.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
